What is Inside Out Productions?
Inside Out Productions (IOP) is a social enterprise and professional art studio that demonstrates what’s possible when Members are at the center of an environment where they can flourish. We launched Inside Out Productions in 1991 in order to employ Members as Artists and to sell their artwork. Through Inside Out Productions, we see L.A. GOAL’s values in action: when people’s core needs are met, and their talent is recognized, they can grow, express themselves, and engage in meaningful work.
The act of creating something beautiful that the outside world can connect with is an effective tool for promoting communication, acceptance, and inclusion. Inside Out Productions Artists share with the world about the talents of people with developmental disabilities through art exhibitions several times a year and year-round through our Shop.
Artist Community
Inside Out Productions opens a new world of creative expression and possibilities to its 22 paid Artists. Being employed by Inside Out Productions provides an opportunity for our Artists to explore their inner world and follow their curiosity. Each Artist has a unique point of inspiration and background, but they all have a common enthusiasm for creating art and sharing it with the world.
